We summarize our investment strategy with the following: "We invest where we can make an impact". The private capital markets have become increasingly competitive and saturated with institutional capital. This increased competition means that managers need to seek strategies to differentiate themselves. We would consider opportunities where our team has the ability to drive value in the opportunity by either (1) building new or (2) replacing outdated technology.
Our primary sourcing channel is our IT consulting business. We currently have over forty clients across numerous industries including Financial Services, Transportation, and Healthcare. By working through a network of industry executives and founders, we are able to find deals outside of competitive processes. More importantly, through our work we obtain an intimate view of the strengths and weaknesses of the business and its founder(s). Our relationships span months rather than the typical days that other investors have for diligence.
Our primary source of LP capital is from high-net worth individuals and family offices in the Dallas / Forth Worth area with additional capital from Midland, TX and Oklahoma City, OK. We typically raise funds on a per-deal basis but have commitments and the ability to fund larger rounds with local partners and offices. Our equity checks range from $1 million to $5 million depending on the investment. We do not make seed or angel investments.
